The hotel was like a lighted city offering a grand and comfortable stay for its guest. The rooms on top floors gave an amazing view of the city below. The service was impeccable offering a pleasant experience. The coffee at the Lounge was amazing and I was addicted to it. The Italian restaurant Bella became my favorite serving exotic Italian garlic and tomato chicken with the starter Crostini which is now my new favorites.
The morning, we reached Amritsar, was pleasant; the air was cool. The Amritsar Junction railway station was quite busy with people running helter-skelter to reach their destination. We walked out of the station looking for our cab sent by the Radisson Blu Hotel Amritsar. Before we found him, a man in mid thirties walked up and introduced himself and escorted us to his cab.
The town was not active, except for a few vendors wearing traditional Punjabi dresses sitting by the side with their wares. They seem not to hustle anyone into buying the things. The cab was running up and entered the Airport Road. It took us twenty minutes to reach the hotel, which is located opposite to the Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport. An enormous building, the property sits pretty well surrounded by green fields.
Build to spread the warm and generous hospitality of Punjabis, the hotel consists of 186 rooms and suites set to suit any travelers. We entered the large lobby, which is elegantly decorated to showcase the modernity and luxury. At the reception, we were offered a warm welcome and after confirming our names, we were accompanied to the fifth floor to a spacious Superior Room, booked through budget hotel app.
The hotel offered different types of rooms such as the Superior Room, Premium Room, Business Class Room, Studio Suite, Executive Suite, and Premium Suite. The rooms are beautifully appointed and are of different sizes. Our suite was of approximate 43 square meters and it offered a four-fixture attached bathroom. There was a separate living area, which helped us to engage in our official work.
The complimentary breakfast and cocktail hour were quite encouraging. Radisson Blu Hotel also offered other services such as 24-hour room service, hi-speed internet facility, outdoor pool, health club, on-call doctor, and so on.
We ordered tea and enjoyed the scenic beauty of the field sipping the hot tea. There are two restaurants, Tavolo Mondo and Wall of Asia offering a range of dishes. One can find Tavolo Mondo open all through the day offering à la carte dishes and buffet dishes. The Wall of Asia, on the other hand, is specialised in Pan-Asian cuisines. To soak after a day long’s work, there is Proof – The Bar, offering great ambience to relax in the evenings.

Delhi is the place of ‘Dilwalas’ as the true spirited Delhites say. I was fortunate enough to be a part of Delhi during my off-work days. I arrived in New Delhi on a busy Monday morning and packed my luggage into a cab, which drove past through the greens of the Delhi streets and finally arrived at the Suryaa Hotel, New Delhi.
My arrival at the hotel was no less like that of a Bollywood star that packs bags all by him and goes hitchhiking (pun intended). Though I was not one of those hitchhikers, but my visit to New Delhi, I must say was sudden and such an out of the box planning.
I arrived at the Suryaa Hotel in the morning hours and I was escorted inside by the hotel boy who made my way towards the reception of the hotel. The hotel Suryaa is a luxurious property set amidst the busy streets of New Delhi, yet quite calm and serene in its interior. The hotel is located at a popular place called New Friends Colony, which is kind of a landmark for the people visiting here.
There are number of other tourist places surrounding the hotel, a few of which are the Lotus Temple, ExpoMart, the Pragati Maidan, Nehru Export Zoo, Nehru Palace and Okhla. The hotel is also situated in close proximity to the Nizammuddin Railway Station and Indira Gandhi International Airport.
There are about 242 rooms in the hotel and each room is affixed with the latest amenities and comfort features. The hotel truly signifies its grandeur from outside and you realize its grandness once you enter into one of the rooms of the hotel.
Mine was a Deluxe Room as I didn’t want to book a very costly room for the stay. Neither did I want to book a room which would make my stay uncomfortable. So I landed at the hotel and the choice of my room was also perfect.
The Suryaa Hotel, New Delhi offers facilities starting from restaurants, laundry, swimming pool, hydro bath and chill bath options, sauna rooms, cafes, and many more, which provided me a pleasurable stay during my vacations.
Hotel Saravana Bhavan New Delhi: During our New Delhi visit, we decided to have our lunch at hotel Saravana Bhavan. Traditional food lovers would love this place. I had a delicious plate of fixed Thali. Later we ordered a Paneer Dosa. We had a great time at the hotel. This place is worth visiting.
Humayun’s Tomb New Delhi: As the name suggests, this is the tomb of glorious Mughal Emperor Humayun. This tomb was built under the command of Humayun’s first wife Bega Begum. There was no crowd so we had a great time checking out this place.
The Leela Palace Hotel New Delhi: If you are in Delhi looking for a quality place to stay then you must definitely check into “Leela Palace”. They also have budget friendly packages. Located at Chanakyapuri this hotel is situated close to the airport. It offers decent food, luxurious stay and amazing servicing.
